Hi Everyone
i am not good at technoical stuff as you will soon gather :-)
I have just started using the drum machine in the Micro and i saved a very simple apttern i.e. verse chorus witha simple fill between the two when i played back my drum pattern the drum fills were not saved although the rest of the pattern was. I wiped my first attempt and did it again and again only the drum fills were missing?
Any ideas?

Hi Tom,

You saved an arrangement, right? I don't think you can save patterns on the MicroBR. Usually arrangements get saved automatically when you switch songs or power off, but you can also explicitly save by press the Stop and Record buttons simultaneously.

Also, make sure the saved arrangement is the one chosen in the Rhythm Editor for the song - it may have reverted to a preset arrangement.

Hope this helps,

No worries, Tom...try pressing the Stop & Record buttons simultaneously after you have built the arrangement, and then make sure you have chosen the arrangement you just saved for the current song.

Did you remember to change the step number for each pattern? If you don't, then the new pattern will replace the previous one which will no longer be part of the arrangement.

For example, if you entered this arrangement...

Step   Pattern Type   Start Measure
1Verse1
2Fill7
2*Chorus8
3Fill15
3*Verse16
4Break24
* forgot to change step number after fills

... what you'd actually end up with is this:

Step   Pattern Type   Start Measure
1Verse1
2Chorus8
3Verse16
4Break24

The easiest way to go to the next step number is to press the FF button. Or press REW to go to the previous step.

That sounds like a fairly likely scenario you described, 64G.  It seems a bit more plausible than an arrangement somehow not getting saved.
