Well I wasn't expecting this!

I love it. Such a refreshing, toe-tapping listen. You get a good Louis Armstrong growl on the vocal too. Contempt? I'd like to hear more of the same. This is a stylish and entertaining genre to explore.

Very cool!

Welcome, enjoyed this immensely. I can stand any amount of this silliness  ;D ............Willie

I gotta say this rules! You downplay yourself to much, because you have made an excellent recording.

I really love the guitar tone and the vocals!

Far out, bro!

It was the second model in the BR series and was introduced at Summer NAMM 2001. The first BR was the BR-8, introduced in 2000. The BR-800 is the 10th in the BR series.

The BR-532 is similar in features to the Micro BR (4 track mixing; preset drum patterns only) but in a larger case with real faders and MIDI out. The biggest limitation of the BR-532 is that it uses SmartMedia memory cards (max 128MB) which are extremely hard to find now.

In the larger history of Roland/Boss digital multitrack recorders, the BR-532 is not the granddaddy. The 8-track Roland DM80 was introduced ten years earlier for only $4,000. This was followed in the late 1990s by the VS series. See this page for the complete history:

More like a great uncle, I guess. But in a sense, it is granddaddy to the MicroBR. That's cool.

I need to spend more time at https://songcrafters.org/64guitars/BR/index.html - there's a treasure-trove of info there.
