New user - getting along fine but.........Fixed

Hi all,

I wanted a portable recorder to use as a recording 'notebook', settled on the Micro-BR and so far I'm very pleased 

I just have one problem and that is, when I try to connect it to my PC by USB cable the display says 'USB Connecting' indefinitely 

I don't have problems with other USB devices on the laptop so I'm assuming that it's either the cable or a malfunction with the mbr.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I have had this before and it has been a fault with my PC. Have you tried checking the USB hardware (right click my computer and go to manage, choose device manager and look for any yellow triangles or red crosses.)

You can delete the faulty stuff and then either right click the top of the hardware list and select scan for hardware changes or restart the machine.

It may help.

It was a dodgy USB cable - bought a new one and all's well
