My latest attempt at discovering singing. . this is aclassic rock song from the 70 s
or 80s..not sure , correct me if im wrong. i am trying to take in all advice. re like
u r singing to someone . or like reading a book to a child. all my life i have been
monotone. infact , i had many people say i sounded like DUSTINHOFFMAN when
i talk normal..RE MONOTONE. i HAVE had  speech therapy , and she also suggested
many x i try to sing . so my vocals would adjost . and get over the problem of the
monotone issue......again i just started 3 weeks ago so keep that in mind. i hope
u like this . a ll  comment s good or bad are welcome . so be honesT and that is the
only way i can improve. thanks for listening TC NEIL .......................................

I can hear some attitude starting to show. You are heading in the right direction. I would suggest learning the song and rehearsing it a few times. Then you will get to know the lyrics and how you want to phrase each line so it doesn't sound like you're reading it off the lyric sheet.

You are sounding great actually... May I suggest singing to the (a) song over and over until it is part of you. Then the feel of time becomes natural so when you work your voice, that doesn't collide with your connection to the music...i think.
If you swim against the tide long enough, it turns and becomes momentum.........

Neil, like you I am learning to sing. It's really difficult.
I would say we're in this together, learning, and maybe a year from now we'll find it a whole lot different.
Keep at it, it's supposed to get easier!
