If I Needed Someone
Word/Music: George Harrison
All instruments/vocals by Sundbo

This is my first post on this site (hint from Geir :)). When I was a teenager one of my hobbies was to make cover songs (mainly Beatles songs), and usually I made then as close to the original as possible. Now 30 years later I've got a Mac with great/easy home recording software included (Garage Band). So I have taken up my old hobby but this time with much better tools. My equipment includes only a Mac with Garage Band software, midi keyboard, guitars, a songmic and some percussion.

I'm not very good at mastering. So the song sounds poor on small computer speakers. Headphones or medium Hi-Fi playback is recommended...

This really captured the feel of the original, excellent work playing, singing and recording. It sounded great on my desk top speakers.
We are all very fortunate to be living in a time when technology gives us the chance to make recordings like this right from our own homes. Have a blast with your hobby.

I knew this was going to brilliant just from the first few notes. It's beautifully played and mixed, and sounds so clear and precise through my headphones. There's a lot of tricky changes in this one, and you nailed them all, not to mention the note-perfect harmonies. What a way to introduce yourself! Very, very cool.

Welcome to the site.

This is quite spectacular! You have definitely captured the Beatles sound! Even the panning is so Beatlish with the bass and vox on one side and the tanbourine is spot on.

Welcome to Songcrafters, Sundbo. This is a very impressive introduction! I look forward to hearing more form you.

And, as oldrottenhead said, any friend of Geir's is a friend of mine.
