Here's a bit of psychedelic pop for you. Another one of mine, entirely done on the BR in 4-tracks.

My Takamine 12 string acoustic (god, I love that guitar...!) is going through the in-built mic, and I'm also having a lot of fun with the 'Tubesock' effect on this song. It's all underpinned by the distinctive twang of a Fender Tele. Basically, a sh*t-load of guitar layers!

This song has gone through many versions and changes since I wrote the prototype original in 1985. I think I'm finally happy with it now.

Some people have said that it's clearly influenced by 'Weather with You' by Crowded House, whilst my 8 year old son says it's a rip-off of 'Mr Blue Sky' by ELO! (cheeky little sod). Could be either, could be neither!

Where do you pull these out from?

Another brillant song. I do like the sound of a 12 stringer. It sort of sets the scene before you even get going.

I think it sounds original and far better than the manufactured garbage that people are served up by the current music industry.

Great stuff Tim.

This sounds great!  Prive, you really took Tim's good song up to the next level.  The bass not only provides the low end but also adds a rhythmic contrast to the guitars..... something that was missing before. I really like this song, Tim.   ;)

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Prive... I don't know what to say! This is simply amazing!!!!! It's taken the song to a totally different level!

I'm not sure I even have the words to describe what it felt like listening to that for the first time this morning!  :)

You're a musical genius, of that I'm sure! You've got it so right every time.

I'll be posting this at both my music sites with the proper credits. And yes... would love to do some work as a duo!

I've left my bloody headphones at home and I can't listen to what you've done.

Bugger.

I can't wait. I may have to go and buy a pair at lunchtime......
