Interesting! Perhaps that explains why there's no longer a Song Optimize option in the BR-800. They may have built it into the Save routines so that it optimizes automatically every time you save the current state.

Hey, I'm glad you like the videos. It's been a crazy year with my wife leaving me (yea), the passing of my mother (boo) and getting a new girlfriend (oh yeah!), this is why I haven't posted much.

Yeah, I noticed this as well, and really don't understand why the engineers left this feature out.

Call your brother, and let us in on the secret! Good to see you again Tony.

Nice to see you back, Tony - and cool videos! (I'm still on the fence about the BR-800, myself).

Looks like a tough year, but I'm glad to see it's ending on a high note.

take care,

Hi Tony H great job with the videos glad to see you are on the up and up , have you tried using the sonar Le software yet , i have done some basic editing and transfered some stuff to mp3 , but there is a learning curve which takes me away from using and playing a guitar , so at the moment audacity is what i would use to tweak and convert to mp3 ,  i intend to learn the software which is one reason i purchased the br800 so i can get the best of the hardware and hopefully the software , i have read with intrest some of the comments on the unit , the lack of editing features is not really an issue for me because i tend to record as if playing live , but it would have been nice to have that facility on the unit , presumably all the editing will or should be performed on the sonar package which if someone is after a stand alone band in a box its is not for them , the druming software is cool and i have used it and got control of what i want to do , which is a massive plus for me , also cosm sounds are pretty cool , there are some lead sounds which are really good and usable as are all the guitar patches , even the bass guitar from guitar input are really good !!

QuoteHi Tony H great job with the videos glad to see you are on the up and up , have you tried using the sonar Le software yet

No, not yet, the reason being is that SONAR crashed on my single core AMD PC if I recorded more that three tracks. I already had Reaper http://www.reaper.fm/, but also found that when I loaded the BR-800 drivers from the DVD, Reaper found the BR-800 ASIO drivers, so I can use the BR-800 the same as I could with SONAR (I just haven't done this yet).
