Don't remember the first version - think I missed Halloween Fest altogether ::)...

Fine, fine track :)

There's a kind of swamp rhythm with a rock song on top, works really well. And excellent bass and guitar playing chaps.

I wasn't convinced when I read (above) that there'd be backwards vocals at the end... but it REALLY works there.

Ahhh the halloween fest ...

yep remember this (and the bass and drums even more so  ;) ) .....

This is a great remix. Agree with Tharek, the new mix is clearer more open and the new vox is fab !!!

There where quite a few collabs during that fest!! Maybe we can learn something from what we did then for future fests, to encourage more collabs ?

Thanks for the feedback all, much appreciated. I think Andy R got that "swamp rhythm" reference dead right. I produced a backer for the Fest and had my own ideas for a full song. Tommy came back with some rhythm guitars that took it in a totally different direction (which was kind of "swampy") and that made me think about a couple of doomed lovers in a kind of Southern horror movie setting, and the whole thing grew from there.

Collabs are good, because as Henwrench pointed out, this made me do something very different to my usual stuff. To Geir's point, not sure why we got a lot of collabs in that fest but I guess it may be the subject matter. Beatles fest certainly generated a lot of collabs.

Cheers,

Yes, this tune was badass then and superbadass now!! The production, playing and singing on this is spectacular.

DAW, what are you mad??!!??  :D  Actually, valuable time stolen from bouncing has forced me to use Audacity on some tunes. A "process" bounce option would be such a good feature on box units.

Oh, and super job on the vox - You rocked 'em!

Yup, mad! Although I have to say I am veering back to the BR 800 now because I just did the "Electronic" track with the MBR plugged straight into my new monitors and that just worked a treat. But a good DAW does have its place - backward vox are much easier to do in a DAW!
