I wanted to do one of George's. This one gets lost in the reverberation debris of Helter Skelter on side three of The Beatles (White) album. A tender love song that's actually not very long.

Recorded live through MBR mic.

Hand drumming on big cardboard box with Chilean bean shell shaker in one hand over-dubbed.

Thanks for listening,

Sandy.

Just as tender and laid-back as it needs to be.  Sounds like you are laying on the floor for the vocals, thats laid-back man.  I would pay good money to be able to sing like this, great job.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

Couldn't have put it better meself.   Sandy, this is frickin' ace. You've YET AGAIN captured that elusive entity that so many a Songcrafter craves.....atmosphere. How do you do it? Not once, not twice but just about everything you record contains atmosphere and ambience in abundance... Spill the beans, big boy...

Find an empty hallway, burn the rule book, forget convention, give your recording device the name of a beautiful woman and sing your guts out to her. I like to call mine Lois.

This is probably my favorite George song from the White Album. You have done a fine, fine cover Sandy - great guitar and vox, and that cardboard box drumming is inspired as all hell!

Download for sure - I love this BeatlesFest!

Amazingly powerful and emotional vocal.  Perfect pitch too.  Is there an echo applied on the rhythm track?
