Well, of all the Beatles songs This may be my favorite (as it is with a lot of people), there is something about this song, the opening guitar strum has been in my head my whole life.  I was almost shaking in my boots to even try this one, I kept waiting for somebody to do it, but except for ORH's wild "out-there" version, nothing else was posted.  So I decided to keep it simple, no drums or bass, just Acoustic guitar, mandolin, Epi Sheraton E-guitar.  It felt like trespassing on the mount of the Gods attempting this one, there is something about this song.  So I just did it in my style, tried to have fun and see what happens.  I feel more nervous about posting this cover than almost anything else I have posted on here, this is like sacred music.  It is what it is. Damn what a song.  Well I tried anyway, was in over my head, kept coming up for air, but couldn't give up.  Singing is strained and a bit all over the place.  Thanks for listening.

Wow! Super cover, Dave! An epic undertaking on what has to be one of the most complex of Beatles songs. Great performances, and intriguing crescendos - they sounded like fiddles! Loved the ending chord - everything about it was very faithful, and yet your own style. You even got the mando in there!  :)

Indeed, and one can say that about most of their classics. I know I felt the same way when I posted last week.

I know what you mean about the opening chord, BB... this is an eternal classic, and from the beginning straight through to the end you nailed it.

Yes, I've always loved this song, too and great work covering it, bro! I was thinking about doing this one, but I stink at transitions. Well done with that, very seamless!

All in all a freakin'  cool cover!!!

Just gave it another listen.  Your arrangement of all these strings is truly inspired.
