Here's a useful tool for calculating the beats per minute of a song.

http://www.all8.com/tools/bpm.htm

Just tap any key while listening to the song. The more taps, the greater the accuracy.

Comes in really handy if you're doing a cover (for BeatleFest, for example) and you want to match your tempo to the original recording. Of course, most of the BRs have a Tap Tempo feature built-in. But, for those times when your BR isn't handy, this website is great!

Another tool I find useful

http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/Audio/delay/Freeware.htm

translates BPM to ms , so if you are recording a song at 110 bpm it will tell you what the ms setting is for various delays 1/4  1/8 /1/4T  and so on

I've created my own BPM and Delay calculator for Songcrafters:

https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?action=Utilities

I haven't found a convenient place to put a link to it just yet. So, for the time being, I've placed a banner on the front page which you can click to go directly to the BPM and Delay calculator page.

These tap tempo things are very cool and useful...

I also use the BPM divided by 45 equation. Works every time...  8)

I found this site and have been using it for years. It's great cause it also tells you the LFO and waveform Hz.

Also in the same site is a spacebar tapper for inputing tap tempo

This is a great feature, 64. You ought to make it easier to find in the navigation. Maybe under the "Home Recording" list.

Thanks Ted. I've added it to the menu panel at the right in the block below the Home Recording block. However, the right menu panel isn't displayed if your computer/tablet/phone is running a low resolution video mode or if you zoom in on the screen to enlarge the print. So I've also added a link to the BPM & Delay Calculator in the Links Page (on the Songcrafters tab under General) and to the Links menu (second-last item). Both of these can be accessed from the main menu at the top of every page, regardless of the video mode.
