Paul, John and George (Martin) have each been quoted as saying that this song from Revolver is one of their favorite Beatles songs.  I gotta go along w/that.

Writing credit goes to John Lennon and Paul McCartney, but its a Macca song and an example of really fine songwriting in my opinion.

This is a fairly simple song, but demanding nonetheless, so you might have to squint your ears a bit.
Paul multitracked the lead vocals and so did I.  I left out the finger snaps, but I kept finding myself tapping out eighths on playbacks, so I added some HH eighths on the "chorus".

Rolow, man, good heavens, this sweet for sure.  Nice job on the multiple vocals.  One of the hardest things to get right in Beatles songs is the vocal stuff.  It's very obvious if it isn't right.  You got it right.  Deadly listen.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

Great cover, Rolow! Those are some lush harmonies.  :)

There are so many great songs to choose from, but is one of my two Macca faves from 'Revolver', the other being 'Cried for No One'.

Another one bound for the iPod!

Nice multi-tracking job, Rolow.  The guitars are well-recorded and sounds like you were having fun with the vocal harmonies. The hand-played drums sound great as always.   ;)

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Satchwood

Sounds great!!  I dig your vocal harmonies too, and everything is mixed so well ~ great cover!
