Wow. You'll have endless fun with that. I wish I could afford one.

Did you get any pedals to trigger the kick drum and hi-hat? That would be the ultimate for me. So compact, yet so playable and versatile.

I have yet to received it -i missed the fedex man by 45 minutes on Saturday-aarrgghhh
if i had not stopped to have breakfast with my girlfriend- darn  it

i ordered a fh8 hi hat controller and a mount for it

i have an old Casio bass drum trigger and a pad i aquired some time ago- i am going to put a whole kit together.
i'm hoping the bass drum trigger will work out-it should

i am scheduled off on tuesday the day fedex home is supposed to deliver

it will be fun to play drums again

i've been working a lot of ot lately so i thought i'd treat myself-it is a bit pricey but i got a good deal on it

i will post some stuff when i get it

Yes, I did make arrangements to get the Octopad

First impressions were- eh-i don't know if i want to keep this.

so i hooked up a casio kick pad and snare pad (single triggers) futzed with it to get them to work- they do-i also programmed my own traditional type  drum kits in it-

next-my intentions were to get EZD and Session drummer3 plugs working using the spd30 as midi controller -check-works well

i bought this because it employs the roland vdrum technology-i had investigated other kits from yamaha and alesis as well-but i really didnt want a full blown drum kit price and space wise, so i went this route instead

this thing has a lot of drum samples loaded in that sound ok as well as a bunch of techno sounding bass samples

it allows you to loop internally and it seems to be aimed at the techno crowd-not really my thing-but i have started making more traditional loops with it

overall impression-i'm keeping it and the fd8 hihat controller too(the fd8 works really cool-mimics the action of a hihat really well imo)

now the only thing left is to bring my drumming chops up to speed-i'm having a blast practicing with it-can use headphones to keep the noise way down- a major plus

i am working on a beatlefest tune-trying to do my best ringo- i'll post some stuff soon
