Acoustic "Soulshine" - Warren Haynes (Gov't Mule/Allman Brothers) Remix

How I wish I could play an acoustic with a classy touch and technique like that. This would blow any open-mic or concert crowd away. So clean, pure and wonderful. That's a great partnership you have there. John gives the vocal the same expressiveness as your playing, which is a very fine thing to hear. I don't know this song, but it's one of those BIG songs that get under people's skin. It reminds me a little of 'Drift Away' by Dobie Gray in the sunny, sing-a-long feel of it.

I hope you guys are planning some studio / recording time together soon, because the results are going to be magnificent.

Wow this is beautiful Blooby. Your acoustic sounds stellar. You have a heartfelt touch i can tell. The singer is incredible.

Gotta love the Allmann`s and Government Mule. Always great guitar playing. :)

Stumbled on this video. I'll take any opportunity to try and turn somebody on to Warren Haynes I can get. He's known for his stellar electric lead and slide work, but he's a great songwriter and one of my favorite singers.

And he looks like a big, fuzzy teddy bear to boot.

Peace.

Damn On!

Pardon my woeful ignorance of internet slang, but I don't know what "OTD" means.  I googled it and found a curious listing here: http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/OTD

I'm hoping that it isn't "Orally Transmitted Diseases".  Maybe it's "Older Than Dirt".  Of course, that last one could be a reference to my understanding of the internet.

I think he meant "On This Day". Although the song was originally posted by Blooby on July 30, 2010, he also posted a remix on August 10, 2010. Since Hook's comment was posted on August 10, 2013, I assume that he heard the remix in our On This Day jukebox. It automatically plays any songs that were posted on the current date in previous years. For example, if you check out the On This Day jukebox today, you'll find Blooby's post of "Melissa" from August 12, 2009.

Thank you 64Guitars for clearing that up.

Because had it been "Oculotrichodysplasia", I would have been forced to consult some old telephone directories on the double to find an overseas trained doctor to learn my organ tolerance dose.  Oh, the drama!  But then I suppose this constitutes an off topic discussion.

Sorry, that was a bit out the door.  I'll just go back to reading without commenting for a while.
