ok . i took nigel. s suggestion . locked my self up in the garage and closed all
the door s . and gave this song my feeble attempt. remember this is my 2nd try
at singing. no experience whatsoever. but never 2 late 2 learn being 60 now.
this is one of my favorites of ccr , and it s funny i think i did better in the chours
part . i wanna know have u ever seen the rain. than the rest. i tried to stay in
same vocal key throughout but hard . perhaps as time goes on we will impprove
below r the lyrics. thanks NEIL

--------------------------------------Someone told me long ago There's a calm before the storm,
I know; It's been coming for some time.
When it's over, so they say, It'll rain a sunny day,
I know; Shining down like water.

CHORUS:
I want to know, Have you ever seen the rain?
I want to know, Have you ever seen the rain
Coming down on a sunny day?

Yesterday, and days before, Sun is cold and rain is hard,
I know; Been that way for all my time.
'Til forever, on it goes Through the circle, fast and slow,
I know; It can't stop, I wonder.

CHORUS

Yeah!

CHORUS ----------------------------------

This is very good! One of my favorite songs, and your singing makes it very personal! IMO feeling is more important than having all the notes in tune. Well done!

I just pity there wasn't an hammond with the leslie pumping on the chorus!!! It is asking for it!

Thanks so kindly for the comment.  i guess u do have a point with vocals
tha it makes the song your own . perhaps as time goes on , will gain more
confidence to control the vocals. with pratice. tc NEIL AGAIN THANKS.!

This is really cool Neil !! Tho you're not a experienced it really adds a whole lot to this performance. I think this is my favorite post of yours so far. Keep on singing, your confidence will grow and your control with it.

Thanks geir. for the gracious comment. that seems 2 b the concensus
on my vocals. with time they will improve with confidence and i noticed
even with this track. i could hit the chours parts quite well  . and felt
this was good considering the factor s and lack of experience. iwlllb
searching for more tracks. in my library to try . but still it good that
one finds a track , that s more in their vocal range. it would b like
the beatles trying to sing . linda ronstandtt or othr high vocals. lo. but
thanks the feed back does hel p tc NEIL ............................................

Good job.  Glad you decided to try the vocals -- just jumping in is the way to get started.  As you said, your chorus is already quite good.  You will find other songs that suit your voice.  You may also want to try changing the key of songs to put them in your range.  As a guitar player I always find myself using a capo.
