Guitars you Want!

Bluesberry,

The Seagull is definitely one of my favorites.  It was only $300.00, I bought it to replace a Washburn that I had had for 20+ years and had all kind of problems. The luthier that I take all my guitars to was really impressed with the quality of the Seagull's Cedar top.  I recently got the Martin D15 back from him afetr a proper set up, it too plays great, I want to try some non-Martin strings on it (Dean MArkley Goldphos).

I don't play much electric, the ES-125 is right up my alley for the old Beatles and Rockabilly stuff. I play it either directly through the MBR or into a Boss Micro Cube. The P90 (it is original) is very hot, I have to turn the guitar way down usually ...  It is a beautiful guitar indeed and I will keep it for a long time!  The old Harmony archies are really cool too!

Now I have GAS for an Epiphone Les Paul Gold Top for Christmas, as there's no way I could afford a Gibson ...

I have an Epiphone '56 Les Paul Gold Top, and have recorded many songs on it. The P90 soapbar pick ups are awesome - creamy, classic rock tones. Highly recommended!

Acoustic resonator bass!

I don't think I really want one of these, but it would be fun to play one for a day.

Gibson SG 'Zoot Suit'. This is the rainbow version, but there are other colour combos.

Having read about these in a guitar mag recently, I was quite surprised to actually see one this week in my local guitar shop. I think they're really fun, and I'm pleased Gibson have made something so 'out there'. I really like them - it's psychedelic as hell. Not everyone will agree though. Would love to own one.

Bluesberry

Yes Greeny, I see the appeal, I would love one of these too.

The zoot suits are getting a bit of a pasting on other forums (mainly over their plywood construction, I think, could be wrong though).

I have to admit that I've seen enough of them that they're kinda growing on me...  :)

Never been that much of a one for paint jobs, but I have often wondered what a strat done up like a Messerschmitt BF109 would look like, complete with the straight-armed Balkenkreuz symbol of the wehrmacht on it... I have a feeling it might raise a few eyebrows in some circles and offend some others, so I decided against it when I was refinishing an old strat a while back :D

Good call.  Whenever someone complimented your guitar, you would have wondered where they were coming from--unless the compliment was accompanied by Sieg Heil and a salute, which would have removed any doubt.

My skin is crawling just thinking about being on the receiving end of that salutation.

Like I said: Good call.
