That guitar got good reviews in France too, it's pretty cheap and it looks so good : a wicked guitar hero babe ! Go for it Chip !

Are newer pickups using screw-type poles under each string any more efficient than older pickups of the same design?
Being a string-bender, I am aware of degradation of the magnetic field as the string moves farther away from center position.
(unpushed)

Blade style pickups don't have that problem. That is why I switched to them many years ago.

With a bigsby and case. Never had a Gretsch. Got it used for a very good price but it does have a few dings and needs a good clean and set up, then it should be good to go. Gas on.

Chip, your pictures are appearing as solid black to me. Other pictures on the site appear just fine.

Chip didn't post any pictures. He posted two YouTube videos and they're both working just fine for me. Sounds like you're having an issue with Adobe Flash or your web browser.

You're right, 64G, Adobe Flash Player could give failure a bad name. Too bad we're stuck with it.
