The build came together quite quick. The most intense and worrying part was routing for the Floyd Rose.

There's a couple of 'very' rough and ready backing tracks I played it to in the Backing Tracks section, 'For the Love of Curry' and 'Hand on Head'.

I had a look at the Burns. Was it the Shergold that you had? One finished recently on ebay UK. A nice blonde one.

That's a very cool sound Daniel! I've played many 12 strings but never had the desire to own one but this little mandocaster and it's sound is very appealing to my eyes and ears!

Vox used to have something called the Mando-guitar (http://www.voxshowroom.com/us/guitar/mando.html), but they are significantly more $.  I have been eyeing one since getting into Buddy Miller.  I have a feeling I'm going to end up with one of these Eastwoods down the road.

This is really cool! I think I'd like it for much longer than a fortnight, but unfortunately money's a bit tight nowadays.

I've got an Eastwood Airline Mandola (mine's non-stock, with a Filtertron pickup, flat-wound strings, and tuned like an octave mando). Sounds a lot like this down below, except this feller's a really good player:

Completely different beast than the Mandocaster, but if it's at all representative of their build quality (very high), then I'd expect the Mandocaster to be a really nice instrument.

Oh yeah - that's cute.

But I'd change the knobs... I don't like extra imagery/messages on my guitars (I don't like wearing clothes with messages on either - or prominent brand names... but, strangely, I do want the brand name on the geetar!! )

That's a nice green, though.
