I've known a few characters like this over the years. It used to be a great source of amusement swapping bullshit storys with other victims! Brilliant idea for a song. Really well done. It's really good.
Its such a good idea to take a subject like this from your life and put it in a song.

I listend to this and I see I haven't commented.

Its another great Greeny story.

I had a mate once who....

The person who this is based on also believes there are vampires from mars under the polar ice-caps waiting for the ice to melt. I couldn't fit that one into the lyric, but it's one of his best, lol. That's what drugs do to your mind if you're not careful!

There's a bit of XTC's 'Making Plans for Nigel' and Prefab Sprout's 'Goodbye Lucille #1' in this song too.

I really like how it feels when the bass comes in and the chord progression at the chorus is a nice change and works really well. I love how laid back this feels. You've done put out another good one.

In the midst of Beatlesfest, I missed this one...

Glad I caught it - it's another Greeny classic! I like those drums - is that the MBR using the 808 kit?

XTC come from Swindon where I live.  One of my old mates (accordion player) used to know Andy Partridges mum in the old days and had one of his boots (Andy that is) in his room (don't ask me why).  Love this song man and it does remind me of the only thing swindon is famous 4.

I love this, I am hanging onto every word here, I am dragged along by the stories here.  Heck I have had some of these theories floating through my head from time to time, its fun to speculate, just don't get lost in the maze so to speak.  David Icke and all that kind of wild stuff, what if it really was true, vampires from mars, all our world leaders are actually 4th dimensional reptiles, wild stuff.  It is like living life as if in a Phil Dick Science Fiction novel.  Your song got me thinking here, and I have a wild imagination.  Just don't get lost in the maze.  Fantastic song Tim, another one of those complete worlds within a song.  That monster bass line is really good.

If I sound a little out there in that last post, not to worry, its great music like this that does it to me.   I am so impressed by this song it really speaks to me.  You have done it Mr. Greeny, really done it.  How, why, when, who knows, but this is a really fine song that deserves and demands repeat listens.
