Great song Ken!!  I can see a sunset in my minds eye ~ the tune fits together so well ~ great guitar work, lyrics, and vocals!   I really don't think you sound pitchy ~ i think your voice gives the song character, and yes a dreamy kinda effect...

I'd go with pop as an appropriate genre.  Good song with a dream-like feel.  You sing a lot better than I can - trust me!

Your voice sounds good here Ken.  Your guitar sounds real good.  If it were me I'd be tempted to put a chorus in where you sing in a slightly higher range, maybe with harmonies, to off set the very mellow verse vocals, that would be a nice contrast.  Thats my suggestion, other than that a very enjoyable listen.

Awesome job, Ken! I love this!
Such sensuous lines on the guitar. That's it, now I'm selling my guitars. You rock, baby!

Don't say that Speed, I'm trying to learn your lead to the other song (thanks for posting BTW) and no way can I touch it.... I'm the one that should be selling my guitars!

Don't sell yourself short, there has been times when I played a cool solo in a song and could not accurately duplicate what I did the next day. Time passes quickly when dealing with 16th notes. Sometimes things get a bit fuzzy.

Little catch up on this one.  I redid the vocals, remixed and took everyones advice as well as added some simple harmonies.  Sounding better with the panned guitars and wet vocals.

It has developed a major problem with S noise however.  I sound like the perv on Family Guy now........(or a tea pot boiling if you don't know the cartoon).......SSSSS!  :(

Any ideas on how to fix it w/o losing the cymble sizzle or having to completely remix?

BTW, here's a trick I think is worthy of sharing:

I originally ran 2 rythum guitar parts, one open and one closed.  Wanted to blend them so since I'd recorded them both to stereo tracks I panned each to mostly to one side (100-20) (20-100) or something like that (I use the MBR for almost everything BTW).  Then I bounced both to a single stereo rhythm track.

To later get more separation w/o having to remix I tried another trick I stumbled on which is good for other uses as well:

Take and move one of the stereo track halves 1 millisecond (?) in time.  Besides the obvious effect (chorus, flange, or echo?) you get a real separation of the complete track.

Oh, yeah this is a good one! Music is killer cool, and I think the style of vox fits very well with it.

You should be happy - You made a great tune!

My panning obsession is now satisfied, lol. This remix is brilliant. The separation and little delay you've added has opened it all up beautifully. It's a proper dreamy soundscape now. And the vocals sit perfectly balanced in the middle, soft and lilting. I hope you're happy with this now - I would be!
