I have never really been a fan of Zappa. I guess I just couldn't wrap my brain around most of his songs. But after reading 64Guitars plea for more Zappa, I had to step up to the plate. After all, I voted for ZappaFest!

I heard this one for the first time on Monday, listened to it a couple-three times and found the chords. I recorded it yesterday and here it is.

I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for listening.

Sandy.

So Zappa-ish....Yet, so Gritter-ish...
This is very good, and it went straight to my mp3 player.

Much appreciated, Sandy, especially since you said upfront that you had no plans to do a Zappa song. I'm glad you changed your mind. A great cover made even more so by the fact that you only heard the song for the first time two days ago.

Well done, Sandy - I really don't know any Zappa songs, but I do like what I've heard here from our fellow songcrafters.

Thats a great arrangement.  Such good feeling here.  Your vocal sounds positively wicked.

I'm with you Sandy, I never really "got" Zappa (altho I was a big Beefheart fan). But I enjoyed this a lot, your arrangement and vox work really well. I like the vocal treatments a lot.

Cheers,

Very nicely done. I like the sparse, panned arrangement a lot. I have no idea what the original sounds like, but this one is very pleasing to my ears. Great work!
