now for something on the other end of the spectrum, i thought i'd do an Animal from Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem.

the challenge is; can you endure the full 5 ½ minutes.

Wow, a lot of offbeats going on.

This is kind of hypnotizing in a strange way.

I'm not a free jazz guy, but this is kind of, different.

Nice job.
If you loose track over a chord progression, play as fast as you possibly can. Nobody will know. Thats how they invented bebop.

The biggest fear when people listen to this - would be in the same light as a painters pallette that someone mistook for the painting and praised it to the world.

Unlike your earlier offering with this - where I could see possibilities - and fortunate accidents - this one while not unpleasant - could easily fall into the category of that strange stuff that accompanies equally odd cartoons - watched by even more peculiar people?!  - reminds me more of the artists pallette. ;)

However I did listen to it all the way through whilst I typed the reply.

Interesting adventure listening to this - but I think I'll stick to the path next time instead of getting lost in the bush! ;D
Guild Starfire 5, Fender Telecaster, Fender Stratocaster, K Yairi and Walden and a 12 Stagg string acoustic guitar and other music making boxes - including mandolin, bouzouki and 5 string banjo, uke and acoustic bass - a few M-Audio keyboards and a flute - all played and treated with equal love and attention - zoom ut 2 pedal and Logic Pro X

thanks for taking the time to listen, jimmy0 & Gu Djin!!

this was done with the same interactive keyboard programed with drums .wavs that i used with the first "Messin 'Round".

i just wanted to see how it would sound from a percussion perspective.

hope it didn't make your ears bleed.  ;D

and... not something i'll do repeadedly.

really!!

i promise!!!

this was just an execise to see how "live" i can get the drums to sound and why it's all over the map.

keep in mind that all of the the toms and snares are assigned keys on the keyboard. for example the keyboard keys for M   ,   .  and / are assigned with the quieter snare. the high tom is assigned the Q W E R keys. long story short, i was attempting to see how it sounds to do a roll.

anyway... like i promised when i was here before that i would not do another version of "Summertime", i will not do this again.
