Apart from a sound clip on the intro (some bizarre Japanese keyboard demo...) this is all done on the MBR by me - guitars, bass, drums and vocals. It's the story of a man c.1974 who seeks solace in some mail-order sunglasses.

Now THAT is a great premise for a song. Why didn't I think of it???
I like the guitars and bass in this one. It really propels the song for me. You are nothing if not consistently good.

Nice story - nice performance - not so nice Britain in that time.

Good one
Guild Starfire 5, Fender Telecaster, Fender Stratocaster, K Yairi and Walden and a 12 Stagg string acoustic guitar and other music making boxes - including mandolin, bouzouki and 5 string banjo, uke and acoustic bass - a few M-Audio keyboards and a flute - all played and treated with equal love and attention - zoom ut 2 pedal and Logic Pro X

"Inky blinkers" - what a wonderful lyrical image! Great song Tim, great idea and more great chords and harmonies. Just love the build going into the chorus and the chords you are using. Bass playing is fantastic - really McCartney ish, you've been paying a lot of attention.

Problem for me - the song stops very abruptly at 2:19, even when I download it. Is anyone else getting this? I'd like to hear it all.

"Rock and roll is very simple - just four counts". Sounds like a band I was in. Or perhaps it was his pronunciation......

Cheers,

Nigel, I've had that happen, and refresh the screen, then play or download with no issue. It should be 4:04 in length.

Tim, great song. Well worth the listen.

I was really able to dig this one.  Drawn in fully by the lyrics and guitars.  Top notch production.  You're really the master of complementary tastefully done panned tracks to create a pro sound.  Interesting lyrics too.  How do you start something like that.  Flip to a random page in newspaper microfiche?
