Hi Guys.

I just found this site and I have been so impressed by the quality of work posted here, I have been encouraged to upload one of my twiddlings on my MBR.

I know that the singing is awful, the timing is all over the place and that the mix is congested and lacking air.

I would welcome constructive comments from the people here who are obviously getting it right.

I'm big enough to take criticism.

Cheers in advance.

dont be so bloody modest, you have a great wee tune their, reminds me of edwyn collins, orange juice, lloyd cole., i think you need to bring the voice up in the mix. a mistake i always seem to make and its cos i think my voice is week, is i drown it in echo and reverb, but lately ive  been cutting back on the effects and  listeners can actually hear what im mumbling about lol.
great first post gonna listen to it again right now to try and work out what your singing.

Take a look around you
Tell me what you see,
On the faces of the people
You see in the street

They're all looking for something
Ah... Something we can't see
They feel it daily
As keenly as you or me.

Where's the purpose to our days
Toil and tears all the way,
Too few moments of joy
Too few, too few these days.

Spirituality walked out on man
God packed and left for the sun
Left a broken hearted world
with No hope for anyone.

I spoke to the man before he left
And this is what he said
Love while you're living
Because you're a long time dead.

Take a look around you
At the people in the street
Love everyone around you
Love them love me.

QuoteMr. Clemens was once asked whether he feared death. He said that he did not, in view of the fact that he had been dead for billions and billions of years before he was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.

You bugger Geir! I thought this one was dead and buried!

I don't think I have a backup . I could re-do it with either you or James singing it.

Really great stuff here.  I am liking that guitar solo action, power and emotion there.  Great lyrics.  Great BUMP. I am very glad I got a listen to this!  And sax!?  WTF, this is excellent.

Nice song Flash. Sure the timing's a little tentative in places and the vox are a bit low but it's got a great hooky melody and the guitar solos are very effective - great sound. It builds nicely as well, and great bass sound and playing on there. Good bump Geir.

Cheers,

Nigel
