A cover of the great (early) Echo & Bunnymen song. All done by me on the MBR. This song was always all about the bass. I played the bass with a plectrum on this one, and the plectrum was the one Dave (of Chas & Dave) gave to my son a few years ago  :D

What a great song.
I've never heard this one before though.
But, I don't care, this rocks, I don't need the original....
We've got the Greeny....

I've seen them do it live three times. They often perform it a bit heavier / punkier than the original recorded version. One of my favourite bands though, and seeing them at the Forum in Kentish Town, London is still one of the best gigs I've ever been too.

This is them doing it quite close to the recorded version...

One of my favourites too. So bloody close Tim. But enough of you to give it that Greeny Edge.

I saw them at Lancaster in '82 or '83. McCulloch was off his mash on something and ruined the gig for me. I was bitterly disappointed.

Great cover, really well done. I've not heard any of their songs for a while. I'm going to get some for my ipod. They take me back to leaving school and getting a my first job!

Thanks for posting the video Tim.
Now that I've heard the original I can truly, and easily say
that your cover is far better than the original!
Your vox is much better and your guitars & bass have
much more spunk!
