Based on a true story about a family I knew when I was a kid. This is done on the MBR with a couple of Audacity fx tweaks. Guitars & vox by Me, with Flash Harry playing a blinder on bass. Please note: If you don't like religious irony, it's probably best not to listen  ;)

You're an amazing storyteller in addition to singer/songwriter. You paint a very vivid picture with this song. I can almost se the disappoited people walking home ...

Yet another Greeny classic, tightly held together by Mikes great bass! Is the the new bass Mike? or are you still waiting .... expecting it at 3:45pm ?

brilliant tim, mike was trying to describe this on the phone last night. at the time i said the subject matter reminded me of the beyond the fringe sketch about the end of the world, a crowd gather atop a hill awaiting the end of the world, when it doesnt come they all get up and say, "ok same time tomorrow guys"

There was a bit of this Samuel Palmer painting in my head too. One of my faves. It's quite a strange one...

Great song Tim.  I really like it.  Fab bass line there.

Another jaw-dropper, Tim - stunningly well done! And the bass sounds fantastic.

I didn't know about Samuel Palmer's work previously; thanks for adding his painting - reminds me of William Blake (one of my favorites).
