I haven't posted a song in over a month.
(health issues)  :(
This one took a while to record and the mix isn't quite right but I am tired of tinkering with it.
The recording and mixing process is always the hardest for me to get right.
Let me know what you think and any suggestions are always welcome.
Thanks for listening.

Life Happens Everyday- David Bride

We all have trouble,
We all hurt,
Sometimes you gotta pick yourself up
and brush off all the dirt,
Life's not perfect,
It's not a dream,
Sometimes the best things in life
aren't always what they seem.

The long road of life gets tough along the way
and life happens everyday. Everyday

The grass is greener,
Everywhere you look,
Your not satisfied with your life
if it's not a storybook,
Your life's a train wreck,
It's never your fault,
You moan and complain and sit there
and take the assault,

The long road of life gets tough along the way
and life happens everyday. Everyday

Everything in life is a great big gamble,
Make the best of the hand your dealt,
Don't put off till tomorrow what needs to be done,
You can wait all your life and tomorrow never comes,

Today's a new start,
A brand new day,
Get up, give it your best, no matter what they say,
Live life to the fullest,
Cause you never know,
This could be your last day in life's big show,

The long road of life gets tough along the way
and life happens everyday. Everyday

I like this a lot.  Your voice sounds really good. The rhythm guitars are great, nice panning there.  Sounds good.  I really like your lyrics, great poetry here.  One thing I hear is after the chorus when you sing "The long road of life gets tough along the way
and life happens everyday. Everyday"  at that point after you sing "everyday", I Hear guitar playing a major key kinda thing or maybe even flute or something happy like that, you know whistling a happy song kinda thing,  it feels like it needs a little melody line there.  great stuff.

Killer song. There's a lovely vibe about this. I can hear handclaps coming to the fore to give it a real sing-along / party atmosphere. Very nicely done, and I hope your health is improving. It hasn't stopped you doing some great music at least.

Great song DJ, I hear optimism in the music. Hope the health probs resolve themselves soon. Regards Willie

You did a great job of making this much more happy sounding than a quick scan of the lyric would indicate. Maybe a hair faster tempo would make it even happier, but I agree, a flute or a bouncy single line guitar in places would put it over the top on the happiness factor. But I like that it isn't so happy (lyricwise especially) that it's bubblegum. It actually says something.
