Is anyone on here a member of lick library.  Im interested in expanding my playing with the lessons on how to play tracks and also downloading the backers. Is the membership any good £39 for 6 months (£1.50 a week)

I'm not a member but I've seen some of their DVDs and I think they're quite good for learning a particular song. It's so much easier to have someone show you how to play it than to try learning it from the tablature or sheet music.

I've tried getting to the Lick Library's site a couple dozen times, and can't ever seem to get there. I'd join in a heartbeat.

Another request time out. I'm wondering if they have blocked an IP range that I'm in. I've tried from multiple providers to get to that site.

The LickLibrary home page is pretty heavily loaded with graphics and video. Let's try something simpler. Does the box below show the LickLibrary logo?

If it does, then you're able to connect to the server and your timeout may be occurring because it's taking too long to download all of the graphics, etc. from the home page. Try one of these simpler sub-pages:  About or Join.

If it shows the word "ERROR" instead, then you're not connecting with the Lick Library's server.

Have you tried other web browsers?

One strange thing I noticed is that, while I have no trouble accessing the Lick Library website with Firefox, I find that Ping and Traceroute fail consistently with "Request timed out". Strange.

If you don't have any luck, you could try writing to info@effectivedigital.com. They're the company who created the Lick Library website. Their home page is here:

Ping and traceroute use ICMP and tons of people shut off ICMP traffic, myself included. I have a hardware firewall setting for it.

I could see the logo, Tried the about and join in FF, and they both worked.

 I then tried the main link www.licklibrary.com from my home connection and they worked tonight. That gives me something to do at work tomorrow, find why the request time out happens.

I get an error from work and from my cell meaning I can't connect to their site. I've bypassed my hardware firewall, and am completely unrestricted, so I have to be blocked on their end. I emailed them today.
