Hey there rockers - I'm posting my flawed masterpiece, in glorious 128bit - I think of this song as my personal (hard rocking) Bohemian Rhapsody  - everyone should have one of those!  It didn't quite work out the way I planned, but I spent so much time on it I just haven't been able bring myself to go back and polish it up - one thing would lead to another and I'd end up starting from the ground up again (and go insane).  One day maybe.  Anyway, if you have a spare 6 minutes or so, have a listen - cheerio,  Kev

Blimey O'Reilly. This is a MAMMOTH song alright! Absolutely huge. It's interesting you mention Queen, because I can hear a fair bit of Brian May in some of the lead work. But this is way more gritty and nasty than anything they would have done. Such clever changes; a twisty-turny journey of wonder. I don't know how you could even imagine something like this, let alone actually record it. I can see many, many hours being eaten up on something this ambitious. True rock excellence in every respect.

Are those live drums by the way? They sound great.

Well , Well , what can i say to this , first off definately worth six minutes of anybody's time , wonderfull fretboard skills , great vox .
I love the bit in the middle thats very reminicent of sabbath / Tony Iomi dark guitar riffs , then kinda goes a little bit Brian May towards the end , this is a bloody good , no ,great song , and i will be giving it many more plays , absolutely love it

Thanks Greeny, this song completely dominated my life for many months at one point, I thought it would do me in.  I was trying to channel Brian May in the "uplifting" solo section, I'm a big fan - his soloing is so polished and powerful - but I'm not worthy etc.  The drums are "real"  - sort of - CD loops of live drums.  Time consuming but they can sound quite good - although if I remixed this I'd....

Thanks Facemask, yes that was exactly what I was aiming at with that part, trying to descend into subsonic Iommi-esque sludge and then come soaring out.  It is a thrill for me that you "got" it, thanks!

Dude, are you Ian Astbury pretending to be someone else??

This is great!  I'm going to write a Cult-like song and nag you to do vocals until you do!!
