So I participated in a song skirmish tonight and wrote and recorded this song in 60 minutes. (A song skirmish is where someone posts a title and you have one hour to write/record a song to that title and then a few minutes to post the result.) The drums are stock BR900 Hard rock 1 rhythms strung together. The bass is out of time and with some flubs, the guitars are actually pretty good. And the vocals I'm not exactly happy with. Mostly first takes, but I sang each verse and each chorus and the bridge separately. I thought I'd drop this here to just to show you what the br900 can do. Talk about Songcrafters: "songs in about an hour."

I know you think I don't like you
You think I don't give a damn
It's not that I don't love you
But I'm not a one woman man

I live by rules unwritten
I guess I'm an unwritten man
I live by rules unwritten
My life is dust and sand

You tell me you are fixing dinner
And that I should be home by five
You know I don't own a pocket watch
But I'm free and I feel alive

I live by rules unwritten
I guess I'm an unwritten man
I live by rules unwritten
My life is dust and sand

I know you never will believe me
No matter what I say
Please believe that I will love you
Each and every day

I live by rules unwritten
I guess I'm an unwritten man
I live by rules unwritten
My life is dust and sand

Man, I can't even write a chord progression in 60 minutes. Amazed that you can create such quality work so quickly!  :)

Excellent tight track.  Even better considering the time limit.  Didn‘t notice the bass being out (what‘s a flub??) - it all sounded together to me

Ha - I love it! Well performed, produced and laid out! Your ability to create songs does not cease to amaze me!

There were quite a few challenges with time constraints around here - You should look them up. Many were done in short order! Fun stuff.

Great song. Spiky and full of energy. I couldn't hear too many flubs... it was all pretty tight to my ears. Like it!

Nice grungy guitars, nice.  Your voice sounds really good here.  I love this tune TC.  You did real good here.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places
