I wrote 6 songs in a little over two hours on Saturday. This is one of them. Short demo included. Some day I'll try to do a more complete demo of this one, cuz I like it.

Way back in the hills
Just past Still-House Hollow
I saw you swimming in that dirty pond

You didn't notice me
Peering through those bushes
Right next to the pile of clothes you left

When I see you sitting
Out on your front porch
I always make a point to smile and wave
And you may not know it
But I'm your biggest fan
You've made a believer out of me
And I can't wait to see you once again

My momma asked me, "Son
Where are you going?"
Gonna take a walk out in the hills

It's not a waste of time
To see the things I've seen
I love to see the sights out in the wild

 When I see you sitting
Out on your front porch
I always make a point to smile and wave
And you may not know it
But I'm your biggest fan
You've made a believer out of me
And I can't wait to see you once again

6 songs in 2 hours?! That's oldrottenhead speed! And 5 more than I can do, lol.

This is a great song (for a Peeping Tom! lol). Simple but highly effective storytelling, and your execution of it is excellent. I can hear some subtle harmonies topping it off very nicely.

Killer track.

A cool little ditty!!

You've made the lyrics seem more innocent than creepy - I've ruined a lot of songs by not doing that!  :D

If you do revisit this one it might be worth stretching it out another minute or two, but it is short and sweet the way it is.

Anyway, I love it!

Nice, I hear a mandolin in this one.  You could almost turn this into a kind of Bluegrass... mandolin and harmonies on the chorus part.  A little acoustic flatpicking solo or mandolin.  You got me thinking... hmm.  Gotta go check out mandolins at the music store...

I’ve been away so long I’d forgotten you were doing this one song a week project.  Glad to see you’re still going with it - especially when you are coming up with stuff like this.  The guitar is really good but the vocals really make this track quite special.  Looking forward to your next one.

TC this possibly might be your best so far????
Anyway, it is so great....The only drawback to it, is that it is
way to short!
6 songs in 2 hours? Uncanny! And this is a product of that?
Wow, even if the other 5 were no good, who cares, you have
a winner here with this song my friend!!!
