It's been a bit of a hiatus for me as I recently moved from Charleston, SC to Portland, OR to begin a medical residency!  But now that I'm settled, I finally got back on the BR (Mt. Hood is great for inspiration) and recorded "Oh, My Sweet Carolina" by Ryan Adams.  Hope you like it, I'm sure there are some cobwebs to be shaken off!

I'm a fan of North / South Carolina and Ryan Adams, so this is a great one to hear. Knowing the original very well, I can definitely say that you've made a fantastic job of this. Superb, understated strumming and beautiful, tender vocals. You got those subtle harmonies just right too.

Absolutely bloody brilliant.

It should be on the covers page, but never mind - I love it!

Oh yes, great quality in playing and production. I've got to own up and confess I don't know Ryan Adams but that will certainly change now I've heard this.  Willie

Really nice work, Dan'l.  I'm here at my Sweet Carolina outer banks right now and I found this fine and timely recording.

I'm not familar with Ryan Adams, but I like the song.

Your vox here  is excellant!!  The harmonies sound good and could be turned up a bit in the mix.
My brother/your other uncle taught me to record harmonies two or three times, then give them a lot of reverb (eg., make very wet).  But it sounds like you've got the pitch spot on.

Glad you found time to do some recording.  Happy trails.

First and foremost, congrats on the residency! I've always wanted to snowboard in Oregon, mind if I crash at your place?

This song is fantastic. The delivery on the guitar and vox is stunning. I enjoyed the listen.

Ryan is from North Carolina! A local boy to you. I definitely recommend you check out his first two albums 'Heartbreaker' and 'Gold'.

I've been to Manteo and Kittyhawk on the outer banks. Seems a long time ago now (almost 20 years!). A lovely part of the world as I recall. You are in a prime location!

Quite right Tim.  Also Hot, Hot, Hot this week.  Easy to see how Carolina inspired both Ryan Adams and DToms.
