I really like the song structure and the lyrics.  I like how you have arranged the different parts of the music and they work well together.  I did notice the timing but its a great first draft and you can really get something great out of this song if you work on polishing it up.

 well done

Hey Willie - when I heard this I went back and had a quick listen to some of your others - your voice sounds quite different on this one, and in a good way - maybe you recorded it differently?  Anyway it works well.  Another nice laid back cruising tune, good song - Kev

There are only 12 notes, how hard can it be?....

Hi Kev, you're dead right they do all sound a bit different mostly 'cos I'm a bit embarrased by my singing voice. I usually strap on a different persona for each song I do, and hope it works. For the slower stuff I nearly always end up sounding like Tom Waites on a really croaky day and on the faster stuff it ends up a bit "mockney". This particular song was done using the internal mike which doesn't have the warmth I like but I was so keen to post something after so long that it all went a bit wonky. I still think it's a good song and I'm going to redo it with some strings time permitting. Thank you all for your comments it's truly appreciated  Willie

Mighty fine. Don't put yourself down about your singing voice, because it carries emotion in a very 'real' and touching way, and is perfect for a song like this. It's the same kind of emotion that Harry Chapin used so well on 'W.O.L.D' (...a song that your lyrics brought to mind). I really enjoyed this.

Really lovely song Willie!! Love your voice, it really has a raw (and as Tim said) "real" quality in it that makes it a very good instrument!

More of this please !!

Oh well ........

Love the vocals here Willie.  The guitar may need cleaned up a bit to get it perfect but that doesn't detract from the great listen that this track is.  And once again - great voice.

Thanks for the Bump Jim, it's reminded me I need to tidy it up or re-do entirely. Nice song crap timing Regards........Willie
