Great song.

Hi all, thank you for your kind comments, I'd never considered myself as sounding like Johnny Cash but it's very flattering to even be mentioned in the same breath. The lyrics mean absolute nothing although Greeny reminded me of a Bob Seger number called Mainstreet which is where I started in this song. I will probably try and get Les Warner to add drums and vocals at a later date. Anyway Donkeydoo asked for the lyrics so here goes.

1. I was working as a DJ in a second rate club on main street
Never expecting to see anyone I knew there
And although she'd changed, gotten older
The beauty of her face still shone there.

2   It took me back too many years,
    when I was seventeen
Just a boy still growing up,
     Naive and very green

Chorus

And I'm thinking  If I'd been older
Would she have fallen like I did
But she just needed some other plaything
To throw away when she'd done with it.

3  Well she danced away the night with all the others
They may have been just friends or even lovers
She moved with a style That only I remember
   1962 the 13th of September

Regards Willie
