I'm proud of this tune as the more I learn the better I get and the more I can stand my material..... ::)

That said, it's off the MBR and processed with Audacity - my first attempt.  Working out the envelope functions and stuff I can't easily do direct on the MBR.  Thought I'd post this rough draft before I put it on Soundclick in case you guys can find my screwups.  :P

PLEASE, I don't need my ego boosted here but would really like to get some serious constructive criticism from the amazing amount of talented producers here.  Let me have it guys, I can take it, really!

Thanks!
Ken

Got too many songs in my head
Gettin' busy if I want them said

No one listens though nothing to lose
Guess I'll keep on playing the blues
----------------------------------------
Did my job nothing left to do
But I still have a tale or two

I lived my life in overdrive
Now I just try to (and) survive
----------------------------------------
Choices made have come to pass
Not all good but built to last

Isn't it time to get it straight
Can't be happy if you're filled with hate
----------------------------------------
Done my time and paid my dues
Now I get to pick and choose

Life's a deal you should agree
(Just) Take a look and you will see

This is just a fine blues song, Ken! I can't say what would have been done on other way...I'm sorry :) . The tune, gtr, your voice and production works well!

No producer here.  I just listen to the song and performance.  And this good a good happy sounding blues song - I love contradictions in music.  Makes life interesting.

All works well for me.

Great song Ken.  It is really good to hear you singing on your songs.  I think the vocals are a tad too loud, either bring them down a tiny bit or bring the rhythm guitars up a bit.
actually thats what I would do is bring the rhythm guitars up in volume, leave that lead guitar alone during the singing.  Maybe bring the bass up a tad too.  Other that that this is a great song.  Your voice sounds really good here,  Guitar is singing so sweet, great playing there (of course).  Nice bouncy blues with a bite in the lyrics, I like that.  You keep writing songs like this and the great comments will come pouring in.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

Good song played and sung well, I agree with Bluesberry that maybe the levels need adjusting slightly but if you've heard any of my stuff I've certainly got no room to talk. I enjoyed and will download.   Willie

excellent music right here. I love the composition and performance. I really enjoy your vocals as well, especially the well laid out backing vox.

VERY well executed original song. i agree with the mixing the vocals could
come down a bit. a little less dominating. over all a good song and for
singing . a great start. for someone who does not have much vocal esperience
thumbs up and wonderful listen TC NEIL

A really great blues song Ken!!! You've got some really sweet guitar licks going on here!! You have a great voice but I agree with the others, it could be lowered just a little in the mix but, most of my vocals turn out too low!!
A very enjoyable listen!!!
