Satchwood's "Raining Oil" ~ guitar instrumental

A sorta western feel to this, like a cowboy movie, the wild west, blazing guns at high noon and all that.  This feels synphonic, like there is so much more than just guitar going on, like a whole orchestra backing you.  And the feeling in this, just dripping with feeling (or is that dripping with oil).  You know what I see while listening...a lone gun-slinger, on his horse.  A hard rain coming down, oil and water mixed, fires burning all around, smoke.  Clint Eastwood kinda figure.  Thats a powerful sound going down.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

Superb Tommy, I kind of run out of superlatives with your playing and the way you compose your music. That tapping was stunning.

You should be selling this!!

Hey Songcrafter friends, thank you so much for listening and commenting!!

I'm messing a little bit with a program called Riffworks, so i might want to do modified re-take of this tune...

I'm also thinking of using this instro as an intro to a larger piece with vocals.  What do ya think?

Yee haa..yes, very western in nature..nice one
I think the drums could have been a bit stronger to compliment your super guitar playing.
All in all a foot tapper!

I quite like Riffworks for creating on - my problem I find is, it and its ancillary programs do want to contain you within strict rythyms.  Changing the beat, or slowing down and speeding up is something I found it didn't lend itself to.  However I have quite an old version, maybe the newer ones are more flexible.
