Here's a quickie that came to me late last night while sitting in the mushroom patch.
First cut of it. Planned to go along with sort of a howling bluesy thing  :)

Pager Blues

Got the pager blues
They call me night and day
Never leave me alone
Till my dying day.

I never get me no sleep
The moment that I try
The dam thing starts a howling
Like there's a devil inside.

Ya I got the pager blues alright
I'm tired to the bone
Cause they never never never
Leave me alone.

I can get no peace
With that corporate leash
Tied round my neck
Like a hangman's noose.

Got the pager blues
For the rest of my days
All I got to look forward to
Is some peace and quiet
Resting; on my dying day.

Greeny (No longer active)

What happened to pagers? Do they even exist anymore?!

I would need to change the lyrics to 'Blackberry Blues', cause that's what they get me on when I'm not at work, lol

Places I'm at tried the berries then got rid of them as too expensive an option.
Pagers are 6$cdn a month for a alpha pager so guess what they picked.

They also stopped paying for business cells and infernalnet connections, (or O/T or you time when paged) with the note that if you don't like it the jobs are easy enough to migrate to the data-centers  in India/China,

Yep IT is not a good place to be anymore.

Don't get me started on my personal business. Photography has also gone in the dumpers big time of late, which is why I took on the IT job to bring in extra headaches.
Wait that doesn't sound right.
