I've noticed that I can come up with song fragments and then have a hard time finishing. (Partly because I get busy.)  I guess this is where having a band, or co-writers comes in handy?  Here's a song fragment . . .anyone wanna take it and do anything with it?  I can post chords, lyrics, separated tracks, etc., though probably can't work on it much more myself for a few weeks - going out of town for work, oof!

It sounds like you've got a good start with this.Just keep adding to it and put in a change here and there.I'm sure that it will work into a full song in no time at all!!

Hey Deso its been nearly a year and a half, you back from out of town yet? :D

This song is good. You sure know how to use your Mbr. You have a good recording here but just too short. Well because you said it`s not finished. Finish her up!

That's the chord progression from "Walk Don't Run" by The Ventures (A / G / F / E).

I have the same problem. I can never come up with any complimentary sections to make it into a proper song. But that's what this needs -- a chorus based on a different chord progression and maybe a middle eight. I wish I could do that myself. Then I'd write and record some original songs instead of always doing covers. But, whenever I get an idea for an original song, I just can't figure out where to go with it. So I repeat the same chord progression or riff endlessly. Then I give up because I realize that it just isn't good enough for a proper song. If anyone has any tips on how to overcome this songwriting obstacle, I'd love to hear them.
