Some nifty chord bashing going on there.  Don't know BD's version but I can imagine him in this mode.

Like it.

GREAT GUITAR WORK ON this classic . one correction though , the song was
origininally done in the 60 s by ERIC BURDON OF THE ANIMALS. either way
a great version of this and well executed. thumbs up NEIL

Thank you for your very nice comments!!!

The most known version of this song is The Animals 's version of 1964.
The Bob Dylan's version is in 1962, before the Animals 's version.

In fact, House of the risin sun is an old  folk song. The first recorded version  : Tom Clarence Ashley et Gwen Foster in 1934.
This song has one or two thousand years in America.
Folklorist Alan Lomax in his book 'Our singing Country', states that the melody comes from a traditional 17th Century English ballad with the 20th century lyrics written by two Kentuckians, Georgia Turner and Bert Martin.

Here the Bob Dylan's version from 1962 :

Nice job!  This is one of my all-time favourites... and I love the stripped down version à la Dylan.

Great song.

This was really  a great way to do an old classic!!   I didn't realize that the song was as old as that either!!  Wow  a lot of history!!  Learned something new today!!
