i'm extremely sad to hear this news, chris regularly contacted me via myspace encouraging me to go to my cupboard and write songs about the stars and cosmos, he also suggested i get a shed as it would be more roomy. damn.

This is very sad news. Not many people will know who he is, but he's a flipping genius.

He's quite a hero of mine - ever since I got a record of him doing a medley of the Sex Pistols, Howard Jones, Nik Kershaw, Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Madonna. This was back in 1984! I've looked for that medley everywhere since, but have never seen it again.
