Hi all,

I haven't posted anything in a while, so I thought I'd share this olde chestnut written by my friend Bill Hardy that I arranged and we recorded way back in the summer of 2000. There wasn't any such miracle as a Boss Micro BR back then, so we recorded this through a Yamaha 8-track cassette multitracker mixer fed into a PowerMac running Digitrax, a very rudimentary software digital multitrack recorder.

Bill: main lead vocals, acoustic guitar, some echoey noises
cuthbert: chorus lead vocals, backing vocals, bass, banana-fingers piano, 'sitar', 'strings', 'drums' (these from a Roland synth), more echoey noises, and a Stylophone

We wore our influences on our sleeves, and it is a child of its time - I hope you enjoy it:

Superb track, the sort of song that you know from listening to it that has had a huge amount of thought and effort gone into it. It is wonderfully structured and performed.

The production is unbelievable good, sounds as if it was recorded on a BR or equivalent modern day digital recorder.

We don't get many musical posts from you Cuthbert, but when we do they are real treats!

Quality work here, just sounds so good, must have spent some on this to get this quality from your equipment, sometimes equipment does,nt matter, it,s talent that important, loved the listen.
