This was the second song I performed and mistakenly didn't record yesterday. As with the other two, it's therefore recorded "live" at home .......

Mic and guitar mixed live via Korg-D16 to mbr. Added reverb from korg to make it sound as it did through the PA yesterday.

This is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard here or elsewhere ... hope I did it some justice

Here's a link to the beautiful original (the one on soundclick)

Sometimes it Happens
Music by Jackofall
Words by Sir Rottenhead
Performed by Geir
when the world's asleep
all alone in your dreams
time....it still ticks away

when you've reached your peak
and it's all downhill
and the moment...fades away

when you scaled that hill
and it felt so good
as you bathed in the light of the day

well sometimes it happens you feel this way
but sometimes you just feel the pain

when you first felt love
and it made you high
and the words they just couldn't say

and there's times i've cried
just through happiness
I wish i always... felt that way

when you scaled that hill
and it felt so good
as you bathed in the light of the day

sometimes it happens you feel this way
but sometimes you just feel the pain

It was a very special song first time around, and now you've given it the magic Geir touch. It's as close to perfect as it's possible to be. There aren't words enough to convey how I felt listening to this. It made me emotional, and I didn't even write it. I can't imagine what James must have felt like listening to this...

jackofall

That really was superb. What a great voice! Beers all round!
If the human brain was simple enough for us to understand, we'd be so simple, we couldn't...

So good it hurts.  Who would think a song could make a grown man cry, sitting in his office at work, people all around, one comes in and looks at the blubbering grown man with ear buds in and tears in his eyes, "did I come at a bad time" says he, No it is a good time, I am just listening to my favorite Norwegian artist sing a lyric written by my favorite Scottish artist, its all good.  I wipe my eyes and blow my nose as the song drifts off to its conclusion.  No its good, its very good.  Thanks for posting this Geir.

I'm a little awestruck, and not really sure how to comment. This is amazing.

Hey Guys, I'm not ashamed to say that I cried like a baby
after listening to this rendition!
Geir you have captured and exalted this feeling, this emotion
that was so triumphantly laid down by Masters ORH & Jackofall....
