What a cracking rocker!

Do you live anywhere near South Yorkshire? If not I'll pinch this one!
We are here on Earth to fart around. Don't let anybody tell you any different

Hey there rockers, thanks for the comments.

Love it!!!!!!

Lyrics please bro!

Of course! Here you go bro:

LEAVING  by  Kevin Mammoth

You better listen to me baby, cause there's something I wanna say to you
About all the things you've been telling me, and about all the things you do,
So won't you give me just a bit of your time, but baby don't get me wrong,
I only got one thing I wanna say to you and that one thing won't take long

Cause I'm leaving, I ain't hangin round no more
Yeah I said I'm leaving,  I ain't hangin round no more
It ain't gonna be me you hear knockin on your door

I'm sick of all the lies, all the long goodbyes, I'm sick of being here just to see you cry,
So I'm cutting out, I'm getting away, I'll probably see you in hell someday

Solo

You better listen to me baby, cause these words I say are true
By the time you know what's going on, I ain't gonna be there for you,
And it's too late to say you're sorry, you don"t know what that word is for
I used to think it all mattered, but I don't feel that way no more

So I'm leaving, I ain't hangin round no more
Yeah I said I'm leaving,  I ain't hangin round no more
And it ain't gonna be me you hear knockin on your door
And it ain't gonna be me you hear knockin on your door
And it ain't gonna be me you hear knockin on your door

And Slade on steroids eh?  That is quite a compliment, I'm sure I can't live up to it - anyone with a voice more powerful than Noddy Holder would be able to crack cement!  However I'm a fan and now you mention them I realise I may have been trying to channel a bit of their classic blaster "Get Down & Get With It" with this song.

Alright! Glad to see I'm making a small but valuable contribution to world peace!

Quote from: flyon90 on June 06, 2010, 08:28:22 PMcool song, who ever did the drums for this piece knows what their doing

Agreed - from my Discrete Drums loop cd collection - the panning alone is beautiful to behold, it sounds like each drum and cymbal was miked individually.

No, but I'm sure my song would enjoy a trip abroad!

Thanks everyone for taking the time to listen and comment, it is much appreciated.

I have to agree with Saijinn - this sounds a lot like Astbury.  Great song!  Wish I could pull it off like this!

You're much too kind -  Astbury is a great belter.  And whenever I come to this site I find myself listening to other people's songs thinking "I wish I could make my songs sound like that".

And just for laughs here is a link to Slade ripping up "Get Down & Get With It", some time in the distant early 70's, it is a classic:
