This was a fun rock n roll song to do.!   I get a little carried away doing some finger tapping & scalar stuff, but hey I was watching some Eddie Van Halen & Yngwie videos, the other day... probably had a train wreck or two as well.....all in fun....

Rockin Out ~ words and music by Tommy Satchwood c2010

{ Intro}

Hey, have you heard the news?
Guess whose back in town?
Hey, they're singing the blues
Blasting out your favorite sound...

Chorus:    You can't catch me
               I'm rockin out
               You can't peg me
               You'll get it no doubt
               They can't catch me
               I'm outta here
               You can't get me
               Got nothing to fear!

Hey, grab a beer (ha ha ha ha)
(We got to)  Jam this out
Rockin like we're outta here
Gonna make it no doubt

      (Ah, you can't catch me..... ha ha ha ha)
      (Oh, know you can't,, OwW!)

      {solo}

Hey, grab a beer
We got to jam this thing out
Rockin like we're outta here
Gonna make it no doubt....

      {yet, another solo}

     Chorus

(Let's play some rock n roll now)
(Hit it, hit it, owW!)

       {Outro solo}

(Ha ha ha ha, you know, it's only rock n roll.... Woooo}

I just came home from a boating salmon fishing expedition where all we caught was a drunken buzz to this hard and heavy flippin wicked tune!

Love how bassy this is. And always love yours 80`s RATT like rhythms Tommy. The cool voice over You can`t catch me part reminds me of Rush`s Subdivisions. Very cool. The only thing i would say is to beef the lead and vocals a little. Other than that it`s ..............

Interesting!  A lot to listen to.  At first I was thinking your voice sounds like Ric Ocasic(sp), that Cars guy.  But then I thought "Naw!  Not quite".  Either way, I like the vocals, especially the effect you run them through midway through the tune.  I like your style.  Wide variety.

My first song listening experience on my own computer speakers in about a month.  What playing!  I can't remember.  Did you mention you play through a POD?

Lots of guitar going on but never cluttered.

How the hell do you tap like that?

I just finished watching the bonus DVD from the re-release of Surfing this morning.

Great riffage Satch!
Clasic 80's licks man. Good to hear you cutting loose as usual.

I agree with Gnasty - you gotta bring those vox up a bit in the mix man.
It ain't pretty being easy.
