Not much to say other than I re-used an old melody (stole one from another song a while back) but I think it works better here. Thanks everyone who listens and comments.

I know you just don't understand
And you have ruined all my plans
Can't you just try to believe?
How hard can it really be?
You just don't give a damn

Some days you sit there and pretend
That we will always be best friends
Then you say something not quite right
Somehow you always start a fight
You just don't give a damn

Sometimes I wonder why I try
When you tell another lie
For six years we were the best of friends
And now you're gonna let it end
You just don't give a damn

Chances come so infrequently
And you know what it really means to me

Will you just try to understand?
Will you face me man to man?
Do you know what it really means?
There is more to it than it seems
You just don't give a damn

As usual, the playing and singing are great - I like the lyrical concept, too. The best of buddies joined at the head for so long that it starts wearing one out, with the other following suit shortly after. That's how I take it anyway.

I see you are almost at the halfway point. Very nice!

Very nice. I like the way you weave and twist your melodies around the guitar patterns. Good lyrics and another great performance. Winner!

This is really wonderful, one of my favorite songs of yours!

That slippery phrasing really works well and the little bit of overlap in the vocal is a nice touch!
well done! very well done lyrics, too....

great job, excellent work!

Black Mary

Brilliant melody & feel. But on a personal note, your lyrics are exceptional. I'm going thru that now for real. 8 years for me & it's happened ??? Every line of your words was like what's happening. Dunno why it happens but it does. Painfully great song. Love your voice on this one.Love it on all of 'em. Put's me in mind of Neil

Another great song, I like the guitar picking pattern and the chord progression.
The lyrics work well with the chords, I love how the vocals weave around the progression.
Vocals sound solid and I like the harmony parts.
Nice work on this one.
