A love song based (loosely) around ice cream vans in the 1970's. It's a good excuse for some slightly psychedelic English whimsy. Written and performed by me on the MBR. This one has acoustic guitars, bass, mandolin, vocals and some synth-strings. And no intro whatsoever.

note: A Strawberry Mivvi is a popular UK ice cream from the 70's. Along with Screwballs, Fabs, Zooms, Cider Barrels and 99's. And lots of UK ice cream vans have 'greensleeves' as their theme tune.

What's with the need for the explanations.  Leave the questions and the mystery.

Who cares anywhere - nice song.  Where do you sleep - In strawberry fields.

Nice trip.

Another great '"memories" style song, Tim! Just wonderful to listen to. I remember those days as a kid in the 70's, begging mom for change before the ice cream truck came by.

You had it easy with "Greensleeves", though! We get "The Entertainer" and "Turkey in the Straw" in the US, which are the most annoying songs when played through ice cream truck fake music box speakers.

I think those are called "Creamsicles" in my land.  ;D

Great tune Greeny. You always have such cool chord progressions.
Your acoustic sounds great as usual too!

Quote"... out of the 70's..."

Well done, Greeny! Super job on the microbr drums too.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

Great song Tim. Your vocals and harmonies are just outstanding.
The music is breathtaking...the playing and the arrangement transports you back to that time, when your tongue was all red and hand was sticky with melted ice cream and yes, GreenSleeves was the sound track. Sweet mandolin
Who needs an intro when song is this good... just get to it.
well done....
