What a great subject for a song and what a great song for the memories. I absolutely love that bass line. It's perfect.

I really like the tune, but for the first time that I can remember with one of your recordings, I find the production distracting.

The verses feel a bit disjointed to me (perhaps the stereo spectrum is too wide for me with the complimentary parts?), but then it comes together nicely in the chorus. I am trying to "hear" this as one guitar and voice.

Please don't take offense as I am one of you biggest fans.  Just one person's take on constructive criticism.  And please consider that I am an utter weirdo.

As an aside, I think my ice cream man's name was Chester. I wonder if that means anything.

p.s.-The keyboards come in super nicely. Nice touch.

Mmmmmmmmmivvis x 2. The soundtrack of my youth, except deduct 10 years from the 70s (the mivvi was actually launhced in 1954.....).

But what a wonderful song! Just like a mivvi it gets sweeter as you lick off the outer coating and the loveliness just melts down all over you as the song builds. Great lyrics, great sound, ice cream chord progressions and great bass playing as well. Lovely keys as well, just loveliness all round.

A real classic Tim. One to treasure. Perhaps because the subject matter speaks directly to me I don't get any of the separation that Blooby hears...... (Blooby don't feel bad about my alternative view, it's great to see some real opinions expressed).

Cheers,

Nigel
