Everybody's writing love songs. So I figured I'd write one too. Then the cops showed up after I tried it out...

All one take except for a solo overlay into the MBR hole. I have more time tweaking mastering than the important part  :D.

Luv Ya

Some people want to know you
Wanna put their arms around you
Buy you a drink
And pass the time

Other people cross the street
To get out of your way
Turn their heads
And walk on by

But I want to know you
Put my arms around you
Tell you I love you

I want to give my heart away
If only for a day
And tell you I love you

And I want to know you
Put my arms around you
Tell you I love you

I want to give my heart away
If only for a day
And tell you I love you

I got a pickup truck
And a couple of bucks
That's as country
As I'll ever be

When we sit on the tailgate
And the stars are shining bright
The country
Is right in front of me

And I want to know you
Put my arms around you
Tell you I love you

I want to give my heart away
If only for a day
And tell you I love you

This is a great song, it had my feet tapping and my face smiling the whole way through.  Lo-Fi beauty.  The lyrics are simple enough, but like anything you write Mark, there is a edge underneath that pulls the listener in deeper.  I really like your solo, thats the way to pick put a groove.

This tune is more than stellar...It blows me away..i`ve listened 4 times now and hearing different things every time. I just love that opening and strumming rhythm. Your lyrics and songs are always keepers to me.

It's the naked truth to your songs that draw me in. You have a way of being an open book in a song, and I love that.

It's a bitter sweet song bro. I dig it.

Nice! flows very well, feels very natural-- great little 'slice of life' observatons in there, and it goes down easy...

well done!

love the stuttering rhythm guitar, great vocals and lyrics and great lead guitar.... as BB said, a lo-fi classic.... One Foot In The Grave?   ;)
