Hi all, just come back from a long weekend away so thank you all for the kind comments. I take your points about the drums but being a guitarist I have a habit of overlooking the obvious when it comes to the engine room i.e. bass playing and drumming. Henrench I'm flattered with the BOSS . Just a final note to sat this was written at a very low ebb in the bands fortune and the words explain what I had in my pockets. Must admit. I never even noticed the hi hats. Was listening to the great overdubs on the guitar. Love the laidback rhythm. Great groove. Country rock at it's best & you wrote this in '73? This song already had me gripped , but even more so now knowing when it was written. This is the real deal. Definately not tainted by anything that happened later, which can creep into all of us from time to time, sometimes for the good. This is authentic my friend. I love it ! Brilliant song
