Certainly didn't get nearly as much done having the last three days off that I had hoped. But this is the last song from day three of playing hooky from work ;)

Song originally was a lot more mean spirited, but it changed due wanting the meaning to be a bit... open as to what is being talked about. IDK... It's late, so it is probably a lot more obvious than I am thinking it is.

Pieces (A Love Song)
We could have had it all
But you had to see me fall
You'll wear your heart upon your sleeve
You can't leave
You can't leave

If only you had given me your time
We wouldn't be here committing this crime
It something that I cannot allow
It's too late
It's too late now

   Your heart's in pieces
   Already shattered mine
   Left me in pieces
   Until the end of time

-------------You would throw me out
But hear me now there is no doubt
That you don't know how I feel
It's too real
It's too real

I have no empathy
For the things you did to me
There's nothing else to say
You will pay
You will pay

   Your heart's in pieces
   Already shattered mine
   Left me in pieces
   Until the end of time

   Your  heart's in pieces
   Cut it down to size
   Left you in pieces
Cause you will be my prize

Don't say goodbye

Nothing's ever over

[SOLO]

I'll be the one pulling that last stitch
Everything in life is a bitch
Who said things are ever fair
You don't care
You don't care

When I am done you'll be crawling back
And I will laugh right to that crack
In your facade as it is too weak
Please don't speak
Please don't speak

   Your heart's in pieces
   Already shattered mine
   Left me in pieces
   Until the end of time
    (repeat fade)

Oh well ........

The riffage is top notch. I'm loving that guitar as usual. The melody is cool, (I like the repeating at the end of the first two stanzas) and your vocals have just the right attitude. The solo was a nice touch.

Cool tune man!

Your voice sounds great on this one Sai.
The guitars sound great, but you might need to turn up the bass a little (or it could just be my sh*tty speakers).

I love the tone you've got on the lead break.
It ain't pretty being easy.

Excellent vocal work on this one, bro! It just keeps getting better and better - Love it!

I also liked the guitar effects. Glasslike crunch there.

Thanks for the comments everyone! ;)

Flipping hell. This is great. Descending chord and note patterns always reel me in like a fish, but this is just all-round fantastic in feel, quality and pure listening enjoyment. It's my favourite of yours to date. Such a dirty, heavy groove. And that solo is is scorcher.
